Why / freedom fest 2023
We live in a ubiquitous world of blurring boundaries among the physical, digital, and biological worlds. Technology is integral to our everyday life and it is the interface through which individuals interact with society. However, this transition has not been equi – table. The enormous body of knowledge, generated from the labour of many, should be accessible to all. Across theworld, there is a growing demand to make knowledge free and accessible, instead of making it more proprietary. Kerala’s transformation into a knowledge society should, therefore, focus on ensuring access and inclusivity while adopting trailblazing technological advancements in the development of the State.
The 4-day event ‘Freedom Fest of Knowledge, Innovation, and Technology gains significance as Kerala is preparing to set a model for making knowledge accessible to the masses. The event is scheduled to be held from 12th to 15th August 2023 at Tagore Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram.

There is no specific age restriction, Freedom Fest is geared towards all categories of people.
Anyone who is interested can participate. Students, job seekers, teachers, researchers, scientists, innovators, Software Professionals, IT Professionals etc. who use technologies for production and marketing can benefit from the fest.
Experts, researchers, policy makers, students, teachers, scientists, educationists, social workers, people's representatives etc. will be represented in all fields. Experts from other states and countries will also arrive.
